ENERGY SAVING TIPS
  • Reduce your hot water heater temperature to 120*Fpage
  • Repair leaking hot water faucets, tanks and pipes.
  • Insulate attics, walls, and flooring over unheated crawl spaces or basements.
  • Install storm windows if possible. If not, apply clear plastic film over windows.
  • Turn your thermostat down! Utility companies suggest setting the thermostat to 68*F when you're home and 60*F when your away or asleep. If you have small children or elderly in your home, don't let the temperature fall below 65*F.
  • Contact your gas or electric company to take advantage of the statewide Energy Conservation Service, which is a free energy audit tailored to your lifestyle.
